Rejuvacation Kit

Rejuvacation Kit

Not sure what to pack for your time away? No worries – I got you. Here’s a list of the top items to take with you as you embark upon your time away. Of course, this is in addition to whatever you’d normally pack for time away.

  1. Journal and pens/pencils. Pack different colors if you’re that girl. While it’s fine to use a device for journaling, doing so may create unnecessary temptation to scroll.
  2. Earplugs and Sleep Mask for eyes. These two items will tremendously improve the quality of your sleep, blocking out annoying distractions. Plus, since you don’t have to wake by an alarm, you can take all the time to snooze that you need.
  3. Cozy robe or fluffy socks for lounging around. Do I even need to explain this?
  4. Comfy shoes/sneakers for walking. There is an incredible amount of data indicating the mental and physical health benefits of walking. Take a 15 min stroll outdoors if you can to boost your spirit.
  5. Bible or Religious/Inspirational Text. Anchoring to a purpose higher than yourself is critical to your ability to rejuvenate. Be anchored, and be inspired.
  6. Rejuvacation Guide – a physical copy – so you don’t have to search for it on your device and risk falling into a scroll coma (followed by the inevitable guilt of doing so).
  7. Anything that relaxes you. Enjoy puzzles? Do you knit? Adult coloring book? Bring it along. Pile of unread magazines? Peruse at will. Good book? Say less.
  8. Aromatherapy. It would be AWESOME to bring a candle, but this isn’t allowed in most places. Instead, consider a lavender pillow spray or roll-on aromatherapy oil. I’m a huge fan of Tahitian Vanilla, so this body wash and lotion from Kopari does the trick for me every time.

That’s it! What else would you take with you on your trip? Leave a comment and let me know!
